The discussions around space, time, and Jesus Christ have long predated speculation in recent temporal-theological circles. Augustine of Hippo postulated, "a rift in the occurence of events...and order of places would be possible as [Christ] exists outside of our natural order." Reading into passages from the King James Bible such as "[Jesus] was chosen before the creation of the world" (1 Peter 1:20) and Jesus' statement, "before Abraham was born, I am" (John 8:58), theologians and physicists alike have discovered evidence of traversable spacetime features during Jesus' life.

In addition, Biblical texts outside of the accepted canon, or biblical apocrypha, have provided additional insights into the nature of Jesus' interaction with wormholes. Graphic depictions drawing from these collected texts (some of which are arguably corrupted), these additional Gospels complete the accepted oeuvre of Jesus Christ, both spiritual figure and possible time traveller.
